Well the woman on the phone (after being cut off once), was kind of helpful, but said they didn't do the Twin Bin System where the flat was, i quizzed this, as all the other flats have the bins, she said that all the other flat occupants had brought the bins (as it said on their computers), i said, 'Really... All of the flats bought the bins?' she replied 'Yes'.
I Said, Okay, but i really think you should check again, as i really think your system is wrong, she goes, no system is right, we can provide you with the bags like the other households do, if they don't have the bins, i then said, all the houses have the Twin Bin Systems, she insisted they didn't, and they had brought them, i told her to come over here and have a look for herself, she then went away and clarified with her supervisor, who said the same as her.
I Said, well they Twin Bin Systems are collected on the Friday Mornings, and this week would be the green bin, she goes no, its the bags, i said she really should come over and have a look for herself.
She then put me on hold AGAIN, (even thought I've not mentioned above!), and she then said the driver for Preston had turned up in the office, and heaven behold, i was correct and she was wrong, they do the bins in Preston where i am going to live, and she apologised, and said they will order the bins to me, but it will take minimum of 3 weeks... 3 WEEKS!!!
How does it take 3 weeks to make, and deliver a bin?
C'mon, what do we pay our tax for... Oh yeah...for the mayor to fuck up Torbay!!
So i predict that Torbay Council might just be able to make and deliver a bin in week by 2015 - But i'm not getting my hopes up!
I'm moving to a flat in Preston soon, and the flat doesn't have the Twin Bin System, but all the other flats do... So i contacted Torbay Council Recycle team to ask for the Twin Bin System to be delivered - That's what we pay Council Tax for right?
