The inconsistency of the British weather detracts from the activities on offer! The attitude of staff and general standard of what is served up in many UK tourist traps is second rate!

I would like to now how they judged the data they recieved. How biased towards a particular age group, country etc. Research is not always as easy as just asking a question without the answers alreasdy being loaded

Who was doing the voting on MSN? If it was made up of mainly Brits then that doesn't surprise me. We are a nation all to ready to put ourselves down. If people want a holiday of sun, sea, sand and booze, then possibly there are places in southern Spain more suited. If however you want something a little more cultural then, as LadyV says I can't think of anywhere better than Dear Old Blighty.

Great thoughts LadyV, you are right. Your comment made me proud to be British and inspired me to visit some museums and other interesting places soon. If we stop and think we will realise we have a country with so much to offer.

And much of Main Street looks like a very old England! Do love it thought TGV. Can't wait for us to move in with Mickey!

Great comment LadyV, I voted we are boring without really thinking, and that's just because I want to live on Main Street in DisneyWorld.

Not at all. We've got plenty of pretty places to visit (Torbay being one of them) and an awful lot of history. London is full of great sites to see. Not to mention the West End with it's theatres, clubs, museums, resteraunts and various other attractions. I think maybe some people think it's boring because it's what we're used to. Imagine growing up in California today where the oldest thing you'll see is McDonalds! How much would they appreciate somewhere like Westminster Abbey? I knock our country in this day and age for many reasons, but I still think we have a lot here to be proud of. We just need somebody in charge who can prove that to the rest of the world.
