Jason Becker

We just got back from a visit with Jason Becker who at the age of 20 was an extraordinary phenomenon on guitar but was diagnosed with ALS. He was recording with Steve on a David Lee Roth album in New York in 1970 when Steve first noticed he had a limp.

"Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease"

23 years later and against all the odds, Jason is still with us and still composing.

I will be writing in my blog about our visit.
