Step Through The Mirror (for MS's time competition)
Step Through The Mirror
Step through the mirror, what will we see?
Step through the mirror, just you and me
My left is right, my right is left
Split down the middle, by the mirror's cleft
Now I am in, but I want out
No-one seems to hear me shout
The crack is closing more and more
The crack that was my only door
Now it has sealed, I'm here forever
I have to pull myself together
But, everything's all back to front
Why did I have to pull that stunt?
Stepping through the mirror, to see what I could see
Has cost me all eternity...

This is really thought provoking ! There was a Roger Moore film years ago on a similar path

When I was a kid there used to be a series on tele called Inner Sanctum, which was a series of shorts, only about 10 minutes long each episode, of scary stories. I've never forgotten the one where a woman is convinced she can go through the mirror on the front of her wardrobe into another world. She was eventually found hanging in the wardrobe and it scared the bejayzuss out of me.
I also used to spend a lot of time in front of our big mirror wondering what it would be like to be Hank Marvin or George Harrison, but that was another fantasy.
Good post Talisman

This was one of my first, and favourite poems.
As a child, I spent a lot of time in front of the big mirror in my parents room, wondering what it would be like to step through into the opposite world of the mirror. Whether it would be scary or not.
I've seen many strange things happen in mirrors, but I think that was more down to my state of mind at the time, rather than anything supernatural.
I've always been quite weird.
